Tonight’s talk will be given by Dhruv Boruah: Adventurer, Entrepreneur and Campaigner, and former student at The Little Ship Club.

After finding plastic in the sea during his participation in the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race, Dhruv cycled 'ON' the Thames from source to sea, collecting plastic litter and generating awareness about plastic pollution. During this talk he will share his discoveries from his plastic pollution awareness campaigns and will explore how plastic enters our waterways, ultimately ending up on our plates. He will discuss ways to be ‘plastics smart’ and actions we can take to deal with plastic pollution.

Dhruv Boruah was born in a remote village in northeast India and soon got used to rising to challenges, negotiating flooded rivers simply to get back home. After graduating as an engineer, he lived, worked and studied throughout India, Germany and Spain, before settling in the UK. During his professional career, he has undertaken entrepreneurial and consulting roles in both venture capital backed startups and Fortune 500 companies.
