The evening starts at 1900 at a service with carols and readings led by organist and choirmaster John Warrell at St Michael Paternoster Royal (opposite Bell Wharf Lane).
Over the years we have had some stalwart key members for our carol service and none more so than Joan Aubrey Jones She has tutored our
readers at rehearsal (some who have experienced her ‘tutoring’ might be
tempted to say ‘bullied’!) into brilliant readings at the service. Joan
has now resigned from her tutoring job after at least 15 years and will
be much missed. Luckily Anne Rickwood has agreed to take on the job of
getting our readers in to shape for 2008!
John Warrell\, our organist\, has also done a brilliant job over the years.
He will be playing the organ for our carols\, and bringing his
marvellous choir. With our Honorary Chaplain Revd Bill Christianson
conducting the service\, it will be a very merry event.
At 2015 we move to the club with a glass of mulled wine on arrival\, followed by a traditional roast turkey dinner and Christmas pudding.
Due to the popularity of this traditional festive evening each member may only bring one guest. Tickets £22.00 per person\, book early to secure your place.
