West Mersea Rally, East Coast, 2015

Rally to West Mersea.   The Season opener on the East Coast which includes dinner on Saturday in the West Mersea Yacht Club and the annual pilgrimage to the Company Shed for a recuperative seafood (and wine) breakfast on Sunday morning.

West Mersea is an old-fashioned seaside resort, with a long sand and shingle beach giving plenty of opportunities for strolling along the beach, paddling in the sea, or crabbing off the causeway. It also has the largest inshore fishing fleet between Lowestoft and Brixham, with oyster farming coming a close second to fishing - and you'll have the chance to sample the oysters at the Seafood breakfast.
