Solent Buoy Challenge 1 - Cowes - Sat 20th April 2024

The first Solent Buoy Challenge will take place on Saturday 20th April.

HW Portsmouth: 10:27 & 22:54 BST. West-bound tide until about 14:00

The challenge is to collect as many points as possible between 11:00 and 15:00 by passing or rounding Solent Marks.

Boats may start anywhere but must pass or round Mark 43, Little Ship Club, at least once and finish at Mark 3T, CHS. Boats must pass or round 3T, CHS within 100 yards and to the South heading in a Easterly direction by 15:00. 

Skippers should book their own berths in Cowes Yacht Haven. 

The Sailing Instructions may be amended by the Duty Officer in light of weather conditions.

LSC handicaps will be applied to determine the winners and prizes presented in the evening.  Declaration logs (excel preferred) should be sent to the Solent Buoy Challenge WhatsApp Group.

The entry fee will be £5 per head.  All Crew must book.
