What a delight to browse this book of aerial photographs of the French coast (Cap de la Hague to Cap Frehel) and to compare it to the many volumes we have of our own British shores. Personally I feel it will be of greater use to those exploring the French towns and villages of coastal Normandy and Brittany by car, on bicycles or even on foot. I have sailed past the Cap de la Hague recently and when younger entered St Malo by ferry before taking the small local boat across the Rance Estuary that linked with the bus to St Jacut de la Mer. The only apparent change to my memories of this coastal region is the tidal barage across the Rance! (ACM)
