This course will be run when sufficient students apply.

It will be done over two full days or 8 one-evening-a-week classes as appropriate and costs £95 including the provision of all course materials.


This is a course that will introduce the student to navigation and seamanship and is ideal for those who have recently developed an interest in boating, are at Competent Crew level of the RYA Scheme or operate a small power boat for fishing or diving.

It covers charts and publications, safety, engine checks, buoyage, tidal awareness, visual and electronic navigation and pilotage, rules of the road, anchoring, weather forecasts and passage planning.
