Late May Bank Holiday Rally & Cruise - 29th May to 2nd June 2021

Day 1 - Sat 29th May 2021

Gather at Haslar Marina, Portsmouth

HW Portsmouth 14.26 BST

We will look forward to welcoming everyone taking part both by land and sea. We plan welcoming drinks and nibbles and in the evening.  Crews will make their own arrangements for supper on board or eat ashore.

Day 2 - Sun 30th May 2021

Layday in Haslar Marina

HW Portsmouth 15.37 BST

We have various ideas for things to do including model yacht racing at 10am on Cockle Pond (near Haslar).  There will be a Pontoon Party at 12 noon (bring your own glasses and wine), followed by a two-course lunch at 1pm at Trinity at the Lightship (formerly the Mary Mouse). The menu is attached as a PDF on the right.  Please inform the organizer Tim Bizzey and also copy in Charlie Quayle of your menu choices. If you want a third course or any extras you can order and pay separately on the day, along with any drinks.

Eat on board in the evening, share supper and hospitality with other members or forage ashore. There may be prizes for various surprise things to do!

Day 3 - Mon 31st May 2021

Haslar to Bembridge

HW Portsmouth 16.39 BST (HW Bembridge 16:50 BST)

Depart Haslar Marina (all-tide so departure time to suit skippers). Remember you will have to pre-book your own berth at Bembridge online in advance mentioning the pre-reserved Club spaces. A great day sail, possibly downwind, to shake out the cobwebs! Call up the Bembridge HM upon arrival who will allocate your pre-reserved pontoon space. The BBQ and marquee are reserved for the evening, bring your own food - wine will be provided.

Day 4 - Tues 1st June 2021

Layday in Bembridge

HW Portsmouth 17.32 BST

In the morning there will be the opportunity to go for a walk in the lovely surrounding countryside or stay local, have lunch at the local pub or have a beer at the Bembridge Sailing Club. For those who have to leave we say farewell as they depart to home ports.

Day 5 - Weds 2nd June 2021

Layday at Bembridge. Leave for home ports.

Solent Boat Charter - LSC members may charter the boats of the Metropolitan Police Sailing Club at their members rates. Click here for details.

Rally Fee - £25.00 per person 

The rally fee includes organisation of the rally, wine for one pontoon party, two course Sunday lunch at the Lightship in Haslar, and the hire of the BBQ and Marquee at Bembridge. Reservations at Bembridge will be in much demand so please book online as already advised. Each skipper to settle their own marina/mooring fees.
