Cowes Week Limited (CWL), organiser of the world’s best-known sailing regatta, is looking for a volunteer non-executive director to join its board.
The winter season has started! Despite dire forecasts of wind and rain for Saturday we had very pleasant, sunny, sailing conditions.

The starting area for Fast Cruise 1 at 1100 on Saturday 12th October will be in the region of Ryde Middle Bank. The courses will br published on the website by 1200 on Friday 11th October.
I was greatly saddened to learn of the death on August 12th of Geoff Bundy.
This is the story of how Geoff Bundy sailed with his wife and family to take up an appointment near Fiji in 1975. It took a year and 11 days.
