Boat electrics course

This course is presented in two halves:

  • generating / acquiring and storing electrical energy
  • using that energy in a boat’s systems.

Optimizing the use of a scarce resource at sea and avoiding corrosion are covered.

No previous knowledge of physics or electrical theory is required.

Includes a boat electrics reference handbook.

The course runs for a total of four hours over two weekday evenings and is presented by club instructors, one of whom was responsible for the refurbishment of the electrical systems in Sir Robin Knox-Johnston’s boat Grey Power.
