Film - Mountains and Oceans - Thursday 18th April

"Mountains and Oceans" followed by a cocktail party (in aid of Greenpeace).

LSC Member, Dr Charles Clarke, will speak about Climate and Environmental Change in the Alps, Himalayas and in Patagonia - from his personal experience on expeditions since the 1950s - to January 2024 when he was sailing in Serendipia in the Beagle Channel.

It is clear that we need to do more to protect our Oceans, and our Mountains, urgently.  At sea, the creation of Ocean Sanctuaries is essential.  In the mountains, whilst the effects of global warming have been dramatic, the path forward is less well trodden.

This is an evening for discussion, and to raise awareness - and to secure funds for Greenpeace's continuing campaigns.

Food and drinks will be served: no charge for these.
